Lila D. Harstad

 

Lila is the Owner/ General Manager of KZZJ Radio.  She is involved in Sales, Announcing, and Production.

She started as General Manager of KZZJ Radio in November of 1999 and became the only sole female owner of a Radio Station in North Dakota in January 2003.  Prior to her life at KZZJ Radio Lila was the owner of 'Communications Network' selling Motorola 2-way Radios.  Also she has worked as a Salesperson at D&S Motors and The Pierce County Tribune.

Lila grew up in  Minot, and has a daughter Allison and son Arron.
Her hobbies are gardening and walking.
"I love what I do.  It is fun to help promote the Geographical Center of North America and see it grow!"

Jan Coca

Jan joined the KZZJ staff in January of 2009 as Secretary and Receptionist. Jan grew up in Anamoose and worked at the Minot Holiday Inn as assistant general manager for 24 years.  

Jan's husband is Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church of Kief.  They have two children and five grandchildren.

 

Dee Dee Bishoff

 

 

 

 

Dee Dee has been at KZZJ since 2000.  She works part time as Receptionist and Secretary. Dee Dee and her husband Dick have two children and three grandchildren.

Bruce Allen

Bruce is the News Director at KZZJ Radio and has been in Rugby since December of 2002. The Local News at KZZJ is second to none in the State!

Bruce also represents Ward 1 on the Rugby City Council. Bruce's wife Mary Ann is a Night Manager at Leevers Foods in Rugby.

Bruce grew up in Madison, South Dakota attended Broadcast School in Austin, Minnesota and worked in news production at KAVT Public TV/Radio. Bruce has worked as a Morning Announcer at KDAK in Carrington, KHND in Harvey, KHOL in Beulah, Middays at KBMW in Whapeton and over 13 years as News Director at KNDK in Langdon.

"I'm happy to be reporting on Local News events in Rugby.  It's a great community with so much going for it.  It's great to be working with a talented staff at KZZJ.  Also love the area for it's fishing opportunities."

 

Dave Trottier

Dave Trottier is on from 6 am to 8 am. Dave worked in radio in Devils Lake in the early 1980s for KZZY radio when they first began. Dave is not only doing an air shift but also assisting Lila D. in the marketing and promotional efforts of KZZJ. Dave is also the Human Resources Director at HAMC.

Dave has 4 daughters, Tarah, Tawny, Trista and Tashal. Dave ran Chiptronics Inc. of Dunseith for 14 years prior to coming to KZZJ.

Eldon Borgen

Eldon joined the KZZJ staff in 2013 as Marketing Consultant.  He is a Rugby area native and has worked in advertising and marketing his entire career. 

Eldon began his professional career in Minneapolis and over the years worked at the 3 largest advertising agencies in the Twin Cities.  He joined Target Corporation's marketing department in 2003 as Sr. Creative Services Buyer and helped produce advertising campaigns for Back-to-School, Hello-Goodbuy, Christmas, Valentines Day, Mother's Day and Designer Apparel among others.

Carl Hauser

 

 

Carl joined the KZZJ staff in the fall of 2013 as the Sports Director, taking over for the talent DJ Anderson.

Originally from Fergus Falls, MN, Carl attended Concordia College in Moorhead. He played football and was a History and Political Science major(s). After a few years in his hometown doing sports broadcasting and working at Target, Carl attended Brown College in Mendota Heights, MN. There he studied Radio Broadcasting and graduated in August of 2013.

He enjoys sports and long walks on the beach.
